Joy Closet News
Attracting New Customers
JOY Closet often attracts new customers. Recently, an out-of-town customer stopped as she was just passing through Gardner. She took her time enjoying the visit and told us as we rang up her purchases that JOY Closet is the best organized thrift store she had ever seen. That same day, a different lady came in who was visiting friends in the area. She complimented us on a great store and made a second visit later that day to make more purchases. Both customers left very satisfied and that makes us smile!
Thanks to New Volunteers
Our thanks to Prairie Star 4-H for recently volunteering to sort. Two of the members are also helping to empty bins for us two days a week.

Remembering Our Purpose – Being the Hands and Feet of Jesus
At JOY Closet we are reminded that sometimes people need more than just clothing or dishes or shoes. Sometimes they need encouragement and a friendly, familiar face. Traveling Day Camp information was displayed on our checkout stand and many people asked about it. We were pleased to see at least one of our families brought their children to Day Camp and have attended our services. Being able to provide worldly goods is indeed a blessing, but helping someone reach out and experience the Word of God is the greatest mission work of all.
Thanks to Phil Lenahan for creating and providing new display areas for framed pictures! You are appreciated!
