Presbyterian Women’s Birthday Offering – May 21
The Birthday Offering is a PW offering received in the spring of each year to celebrate the blessings in the lives of Presbyterian Women. We will be dedicating the offering in worship on May 21. Contributions may be made before that at any time. The offering funds up to five projects that are not included in ongoing General Assembly mission support, such as agricultural development, child care, community organization, criminal justice, drug counseling, economic justice, elderly care, employment training, homelessness, literacy, violence and women’s concerns. Men and women may contribute to the offering. Some people give a coin or dollar amount reflective of their age – as in a fifty year old might give $50. Or someone who doesn’t want to disclose her age might give $100 or more. Notes in the bulletin in upcoming weeks will give specifics about this year’s recipients.
