Joy Closet September
JOY Closet continues to have as its goal to help the people of our community. Our volunteers go out of their way to help customers by making things organized and in good condition to take home. Some individuals and families come to us with vouchers distributed by churches and schools and the Multi-Service Center. They shop for free clothing, bedding, and shoes. Where circumstances have been difficult, we are able to shine some light and hope.
Our community also has many families who rely on JOY Closet to provide very low cost clothing and other items for their families. These families shop often and are able to stretch their spendable income by shopping with us. It is this income that makes JOY Closet a viable nonprofit for our community.
First Presbyterian Church has worked hard to reach out to our community. Please continue to pray for us and to pass the word to others. We continue to need more sorters. Ask Cindy Rollf or Ginger Crist how to join the team!
A big THANK YOU to EPIC for their community service at JOY Closet in August. We appreciate all of your sorting and organizing!
Matthew 25:35-36 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me.
